Announcement of Results for Second Stage of Grand Competition on Sunnah
The judging committee for the Grand Competition on the Sunnah, organized by the College of Islamic Studies at the Islamic University of Minnesota, has announced the results of the second stage of the qualifiers held on Friday, August 30, 2024. The committee has also set Friday, September 20, 2024, as the date for the third stage qualifiers.
According to the announced results, 21 competitors succeeded in this stage, with 10 winning in the category of (Doctorate - Al-Arba'in Al-Nawawiya) and 11 in the category of (Master's - Sahih Muslim). Geographically, 6 competitors hailed from Egypt, 4 from Yemen, 3 from Syria, 2 from Saudi Arabia, and one each from Sudan, Mauritania, Bangladesh, Mali, Ghana, and Algeria.
Winners from the Al-Arba'in Al-Nawawiya (Doctorate) category include:

It is noteworthy that the first stage qualifiers, from which 31 competitors were accepted, took place on August 16, 2024. The necessary conditions included memorizing the text with the narrator only (for each stage), adhering to the specified time for the qualifiers, and complying with the book and stage set by the organizing committee. The books are: "The Book of Knowledge" from Sahih Bukhari for the Bachelor's level, "The Book of Knowledge" from Sahih Muslim for the Master's level, and "Al-Arba'in Al-Nawawiya" for the Doctorate level.
The final qualifiers will be conducted on October 4, 2024, with a special ceremony to honor the winners scheduled for October 10, 2024, in accordance with the original announcement of the competition.
