Head of Arabic Islamic Studies Department holds meeting
Associate Professor Fatima Al-Wahsh, Head of the Arabic Islamic Studies Department at the Islamic University of Minnesota, held a meeting for faculty members in the department on Friday, September 27, 2024, at 9 PM Mecca time.
During the meeting, several important topics were discussed, including final exams, the distribution of second-semester materials to faculty members, and the challenges faced by students and faculty during the first semester. The meeting also addressed the authorship of books related to the department's curricula and included a session for faculty inquiries.
At the beginning of the meeting, the department head welcomed attendees and thanked them for responding to the invitation, while also expressing her appreciation for Ms. Anisa Al-Zekri, the administrative affairs officer of the college. She expressed her satisfaction that there were no remaining lectures before the meeting, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the schedule for final lectures to ensure completion by October 10.
Al-Wahsh also expressed her happiness at receiving all the test models for the department, which have been sent to the Control Affairs Unit, commending the cooperation of faculty members. She confirmed that the courses for the upcoming semester are ready, urging members to prepare specific course materials in the form of books or handouts that bear the university's name on the cover.
