Saudi Researcher Salwa Al-Subhi Awarded PhD

The Academic Committee has decided to award the PhD degree to Saudi researcher Salwa Hamid Mohammed Said Al-Subhi after her successful public defense of her thesis titled "The Commentary of Ibn Al-Tamjid on the Lights of Revelation and the Secrets of Interpretation by Imam Al-Baydawi, authored by the scholar Mustafa ibn Ibrahim, commonly known as Ibn Al-Tamjid – A Study and Verification from the Beginning of Surah Al-An’am to the End of Surah Al-Anfal."
The defense took place under the supervision of the Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Deanship at the main center of the Islamic University of Minnesota, in the Department of Quranic Studies and its Sciences within the College of Islamic Studies, on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 9:00 PM Mecca time.
The discussion committee consisted of Professor Dr. Abdulrazzaq Al-Bakri, Dean of the College of Islamic Studies, serving as the supervisor, and Dr. Imad Qudri Al-Ayyadi, a faculty member at the Islamic University of Minnesota, acting as an internal discussant. Additionally, Dr. Mahmoud Bahjat, Assistant Professor of Sharia at the Faculty of Dar Al-Uloom, Minya University in Egypt, participated as an external discussant.
This achievement marks an important academic milestone, reflecting ongoing efforts to advance knowledge in the field of Islamic studies and enhance scientific research on a global level.
