Researcher Earns Doctorate in Quran and Its Sciences

Researcher Mahmoud Saeed Mustafa Ahmed has obtained his doctorate in Quran and its sciences after successfully defending his dissertation titled "Insan 'Ayn Al-Ma'ani in the Tafsir of Abu Nasr Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Tayfour Al-Sajawandi (died after 571 AH) from the beginning of Surah Al-Fatiha to the end of Surah Al-Baqarah – A Critical Edition and Study."

The defense took place under the supervision of the Graduate Studies Dean at the Islamic University of Minnesota on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at 8 PM Mecca time. The scientific committee included Professor Waleed bin Idris Al-Menisi, President of the University, who served as the chair and supervisor; Dr. Ziad Ahmed Al-Haj, Associate Professor at the University of Jinan in Lebanon, as an external examiner; and Dr. Imad Qudri Al-Ayadi, Head of the Manuscripts Department at the Islamic University of Minnesota, as an internal examiner.
