Approval of Research Plan for PhD Student in Islamic Studies

Following a seminar session held by a scientific committee chaired by Dr. Manal Mustafa, Head of the Department of Islamic Studies, the research plan prepared by Bangladeshi researcher Abdulkarim Choudhury was approved. The plan is titled "From Kufa to Bengal: The Historical Evolution, Jurisprudential Development, and Influence of the Hanafi Madhhab in Bangladesh," as part of his requirements for the PhD degree.

The seminar session took place on Monday, April 21, 2025, at 4:00 PM Mecca time, under the supervision of the Deanship of Graduate Studies at the Islamic University of Minnesota. The committee included, in addition to its chair, Dr. Mohammed Mustafa Al-Shuqairi, Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al-Khalidi, and Dr. Suhair Zaki Al-Halwani.

This approval marks an important step in the researcher’s academic journey and reflects the university's support for research initiatives in the field of Islamic studies.
