Scientific Committee Approves Two Research Proposals

A scientific committee from the Department of Prophetic Sunnah and Its Sciences has approved two research proposals. The first was prepared by researcher "Ibrahim Mustafa Shtima" to study "The Differences in the Statements of Al-Hafidh Ibn Hajar between His Works 'Taqreeb al-Tahtheeb' and 'Takhlees al-Habeer' in Weakening Narrators of Hadith." The second was prepared by researcher "Ameer Adeeb Mohammed Allaf" to study "The Methodology of Umm al-Mu'mineen Aisha bint al-Siddiq - may Allah be pleased with her - in Her Critiques of the Companions, Both Narratively and Analytically."
The two proposals were developed as part of the researchers' efforts to obtain a doctoral degree from the College of Islamic Studies. They were discussed in two seminar sessions held consecutively on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 6:00 PM Mecca time, under the supervision of the Deanship of Graduate Studies at the Islamic University of Minnesota.
The committee for discussing the proposals was chaired by Dr. Musab Nabil, Head of the Department of Prophetic Sunnah and Its Sciences, with members including Dr. Waleed Al-Kurdi, Dr. Fayez Al-Nawah, and Dr. Ahmed Barhoum.
