Da'wah Center Hosts Lecture on "How Preacher Can Be Role Model in Society"
As part of the ongoing series of academic and devotional activities offered by the Da'wah Center at the Islamic University of Minnesota - Main Center, in cooperation with the College of Islamic Studies, a valuable lecture was held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, entitled “How a Preacher Can Be a Role Model in Society.”
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Sharif Turki, who discussed the ways and importance of embodying the qualities of a righteous role model, emphasizing that being a role model is not an additional trait but a fundamental pillar in achieving meaningful influence, enlightening minds, and nurturing souls.
This lecture was presented as part of the awareness program themed: "Knowledge that guides hearts… and guidance that enlightens minds." It stood out for its authentic methodology that combines Islamic scholarship with contemporary thought, alongside an interactive style that blended explanation with active audience participation, focusing on intellectual and spiritual development to build a conscious Muslim personality.
Although the lecture was primarily directed toward university students, participation was open to the public. It was held virtually via Zoom at 10:00 PM Makkah time and witnessed strong attendance and engagement from those seeking knowledge and guidance.
These activities reaffirm the university’s pioneering role in offering purposeful academic and devotional content that serves religion, society, and the broader community.
