Dr. Zidan Holds First Meeting with Faculty Members

Dr. Muayad Zaidan, the new chairman of the Law Department, held his first meeting with faculty members on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Zaidan welcomed the faculty members and received their congratulations on his appointment as chairman. He also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the former chairman, Dr. Mohammed Shuaib, for his efforts and wished him success in his future endeavors.

Dr. Zaidan emphasized the importance of teamwork to achieve the department's goals, stressing the need to assign students' academic tasks and set midterm exams as soon as possible. He also discussed with the faculty members the method of setting questions, taking into account the average student's level and the clarity of the questions.

During the meeting, Dr. Zaidan stressed the importance of adhering to lecture schedules and making up for any justified absences. He also discussed with the attendees some of the problems facing the department, such as the difficulty of internet access for some students and the difficulty of giving lectures in the summer semester for some faculty members.

In a related development, Dr. Zainab Ali Basyouni, Vice President of the University, congratulated Dr. Muayad Zaidan on his appointment as Director of the Legal Affairs Department at the university, succeeding Dr. Mohammad Shuaib Abdulmaqsoud.

This came in a welcome message after Dr. Muayad Zidan was added to the (Administrative Units) group on WhatsApp, which was created by the university administration to be a link between the officials of the university's administrative apparatus.
