Communication Skills and Collaboration Workshop Empowers Staff
In collaboration with the Training and Development Center and Community Programs, the Quality and Development Unit at the Islamic University of Minnesota's main campus recently organized a significant workshop. Titled "Enhancing Communication and Collaboration Skills," the workshop specifically targeted secretaries and assistants.
Spanning a duration of two hours, the workshop centered around highlighting the importance of communication skills for individuals involved in public relations. The event was attended by Dr. Fatima Jumah Al Wahsh, Director of the Quality and Development Unit and Head of the Islamic Studies Department.
During the workshop, emphasis was placed on the personal qualities and diverse skill sets that public relations professionals, whether managers or employees, should possess. These professionals require a range of skills, including managerial, functional, technical, intellectual, educational, and training skills, as well as communication skills that encompass reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
The workshop served as a valuable opportunity for participants to enhance their communication abilities and foster a collaborative spirit, ultimately improving their performance in their respective roles. This workshop aligns with the Islamic University of Minnesota's efforts to develop its human resources and enhance performance quality across various departments and units.
