Mustafa Shlata Concludes Course on " Science of Hadith Authentication: Theory and Application"
Mr. Mustafa Arafa Mohammed Shlata, a lecturer at the College of Islamic Studies at the Islamic University of Minnesota, has concluded a course titled "The Science of Hadith Authentication: Theory and Application." The course was organized by the Center for Development and Quality in collaboration with the Training and Development Center and Community Programs at the university. It spanned a duration of five weeks, starting from January 1, 2024.
The aim of the course was to assist students and researchers in their scholarly journey and in writing academic theses and research papers. It covered several lectures on topics such as the scientific methods of authenticating hadiths, collecting hadith narrations, types of authentication, sources of authentication, methods of evaluating hadiths, utilizing comprehensive libraries for authentication, and using the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Program for Hadith Service in authentication.
The lectures were conducted in collaboration with the Training and Development Center and Community Programs at the university. They were broadcasted through the center's Facebook page and uploaded to the official university platform. Accredited certificates were distributed to the participants who attended the course.
The objective of this training activity was to enhance the understanding of students and researchers regarding the science of hadith authentication and its applications, empowering them to develop their skills in accurately authenticating prophetic traditions using a scientific approach.
