Minnesota, April 16, 2024 - The Development and Quality Unit, affiliated with the Training and Development Center and Community Programs at the Islamic University of Minnesota, organized a training workshop titled "Preparing New Faculty Members."

Dr. Mahrous Sulaiman, Assistant Professor of Curriculum and Psychology at the Islamic University of Minnesota, delivered the lecture at the two-hour workshop, held on Tuesday evening, April 16, 2024. This training activity aims to equip new faculty members for the upcoming summer semester, which will commence in a few days.

The workshop is part of the university's preparations for the summer semester, providing support and guidance to new faculty members to help them adapt to the new work environment and enhance their teaching and interactive abilities.

The workshop covers various topics, including the fundamental concepts of university teaching, course design, student communication strategies, and educational performance evaluation. Participants are also given the opportunity to exchange experiences, ideas, ask questions, and seek clarification.

This workshop provides a valuable opportunity for new faculty members to enhance their skills, develop their teaching capabilities, and improve their interaction and effective communication with students. These efforts reflect the university's commitment to providing high-quality education and a rewarding learning experience for students.

It is expected that the university will continue organizing similar training workshops and other activities to support the faculty and enhance education and learning within the institution.
