Meeting to Explore Students' Concerns and Needs


 

The Islamic University of Minnesota held a Zoom meeting that brought together the Deanship of Student Affairs, the Student Guidance and Counseling Unit, and students from various colleges and levels.

His Excellency the University Vice-President, Dr. Omar Al-Maqrami, and his Deputy, Dr. Zainab Bassiouni, emphasized the importance of assisting, educating, and guiding students. Dr. Zainab Bassiouni moderated this meeting, which lasted about an hour.

The meeting included a speech by the Director of the Guidance and Counseling Unit, Mr. Mariam Mohammed Amr, followed by a flood of questions, inquiries, and verbal and textual interventions from the students. Dr. Zainab Bassiouni and Mr. Sulaiman Maqboul, the Director of the Undergraduate Student Affairs Unit, responded comprehensively to all the inquiries.

At the end of the meeting, the university officials pledged to address all student problems, work to solve them, and submit a report to the University Vice-President and the concerned parties on the proposals of the students who attended the meeting, which include preparing samples of previous exams and developing the quality of the old curricula, among other things.
