Quality and Development Unit Hosts Workshop

Minnesota, July 11, 2024  - The Quality and Development Unit, in coordination with the Scientific Research Unit at the Islamic University of Minnesota, Main Center, organized a training workshop titled "Types of Study Population and Sample and How to Calculate Their Size." The workshop was delivered by certified trainer Mr. Marwan Al-Awawisha, a member of the Quality and Development Unit at the Islamic University of Minnesota and a lecturer at Al-Balqa Applied University. The workshop took place on Thursday, July 11, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM Mecca Time.

The workshop covered six main topics: defining the study population, identifying the types of study populations, defining the study sample, identifying the types of study samples, understanding the difference between using the study population or the sample in data collection, and methods for calculating sample size.

The workshop was broadcast via ZOOM and targeted all students and researchers. Dr. Fatima Juma Al-Wahsh, Director of the Quality and Development Unit, moderated the workshop.

A large number of interested individuals and researchers attended the workshop, which witnessed significant interaction from the participants.

This workshop is part of a series of workshops and seminars organized by the Islamic University of Minnesota to develop the skills of researchers and students.
