Training Workshop on Statistical Analysis Using SPSS

The Development and Quality Unit, in collaboration with the Scientific Research Unit, held a training workshop titled "Descriptive Statistical Analysis of Data Using SPSS Software." The workshop was led by Dr. Fatima Jumah Al-Wahsh, Director of the Development and Quality Unit, and presented by Dr. Marwan Al-Awaisheh, Deputy Director, on Saturday, August 10, 2024.

The workshop lasted from 8 PM to 11 PM Mecca time and focused on three main topics: an introduction to statistical analysis software, how to download SPSS software on devices, and familiarization with the program’s screens and files.

Participants from the academic community expressed positive impressions about the effectiveness of the workshop. Dr. Faiza Khattab, Director of the Scientific Research Unit, considered this workshop a "golden opportunity" for researchers and graduate students to enhance their statistical analysis skills. She emphasized the importance of utilizing the necessary tools and knowledge to use one of the most common programs for data analysis, which contributes to conducting accurate and well-documented research.

Dr. Faiza clarified that a video of the workshop has been recorded and can be viewed on the university's YouTube channel, in addition to a previous workshop by Dr. Al-Awaisheh titled "Types of Study Population and Sample and How to Calculate Their Number."
