Training Center Organizes Training Course on Fundamentals of Scientific Research Writing
The Islamic University of Minnesota organized a training course on the fundamentals of scientific research writing, focusing on the research thesis. The course was a collaboration between the Training and Development and Community Programs Center and the Scientific Research Unit. The course was delivered by Professor Hanan Sobhi Obaid and Dr. Asaad Al-Fahd.
The course covered various topics related to writing a research thesis, including the research scope, educational outcomes, the introduction and its components, writing chapter introductions and conclusions, documenting and writing references and scientific sources, choosing the research methodology, results and recommendations, the thesis conclusion, and preparing for the discussion and presentation of the researcher's statement.
The course also provided important recommendations for developing scientific research in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, including entrenching governance for strategic planning, analyzing the internal and external environment, involving all levels of human resources in governance and strategic planning committees, providing specialized training courses in governance and strategic planning, giving priority to the evaluation aspect in implementing strategic plans, and focusing on the aspects of monitoring the implementation and control of strategic plans.
The course was held over two days, Sunday, June 30 and Tuesday, July 2, 2024, with Professor Hanan Obaid delivering the first lecture and Dr. Asaad Al-Fahd delivering the second lecture.
