Appointment of Dr. Fayza Khattab as Director of the Research Unit
Dr. Omar Al-Maqrami, the Deputy of the Islamic University of Minnesota and Head of the Main Center, has issued a decision appointing Dr. Fayza Mohamed Mahmoud Khattab as the Director of the Research Unit. Dr. Fayza holds a Ph.D. in Arts from the Faculty of Arts at Ain Shams University, specializing in modern and contemporary history and international relations. She graduated with honors and received the highest recommendation for her thesis from Egyptian universities.
Dr. Fayza has extensive experience in scientific research. She participated in preparing the first strategic report for the Middle East region for the years 2020-2021, focusing on political and Iranian studies. She also contributed to the preparation of research projects at the Middle East Research Center and Future Studies at Ain Shams University. She has been involved in preparing scientific publications for the Research Department at the center, as well as the Historical and Political Studies Division.
Dr. Fayza has authored several scientific publications, including a book titled "Arab Unity Experiments and International and Regional Positions, 1958-1989" and another book titled "The Suez Canal: Its Political and Social Impact Locally and Internationally, 1956-1967." She also contributed to a book titled "The Suez Canal: Past, Present, and Future, 1869-2019."
