Release of First Issue of "Graduate Studies Journal"

On Sunday, February 2, 2025, the Graduate Studies Deanship at the Islamic University of Minnesota published the first issue of the "Graduate Studies Journal" for January 2025.

In the introduction, Dr. Yasmin Abu Shabana, the Dean of Graduate Studies, stated that the journal aims to highlight the achievements and activities of graduate students in both master's and doctoral programs across all university faculties. She emphasized that it will serve as a platform for graduate students to share their academic successes that the university takes pride in.

Dr. Yusra Mohammed Salama, the Director of the Scientific Research Unit, mentioned in her opening remarks that the journal seeks to spotlight the most prominent research and studies conducted by distinguished researchers at the university.

The journal consists of several sections. The first section is dedicated to presenting the scientific discussions that took place in January 2025, detailing the basic information about the researchers, their academic degrees, thesis titles, and the composition of the discussion committees.

The second section covers seminar sessions that discussed research plans completed by graduate students, providing essential details for each session.

The third section, titled "Scientific Research as the Foundation of Progress and Prosperity," highlights the importance of scientific research and its impact on various aspects of human, social, and economic life.

The fourth section, entitled "Priorities in Research and Scientific Publishing," showcases the efforts of the Scientific Research Unit in identifying research priorities and fields that require further study, contributing to sustainable development.

It is noteworthy that the collaboration between the Graduate Studies Deanship and the Scientific Research Unit in editing the journal reflects the integration in serving scientific research. Additionally, the university’s media center handled the technical aspects of the publication.
