Inspiring Lecture on 'Valentine's Day in the Balance of Islamic Sharia'
The Training, Development, and Community Programs Center, in collaboration with the College of Sharia and Law at the Islamic University of Minnesota, organized an inspiring lecture titled 'Valentine's Day in the Balance of Islamic Sharia.' The lecture was delivered by Dr. Muzahem Tariq Al-Mustafa, the Dean of the College of Sharia and Law, on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM Mecca Time.
The lecture addressed the prevalent practice among Muslim youth known as 'Valentine's Day' and emphasized that we do not need to adopt Western customs to promote love within the community, as we have a rich identity that encompasses this domain. Dr. Muzahem stressed that this holiday, with its Western-influenced rituals, primarily aims to spread immorality among Muslim youth.
