Faculty Meeting Discusses Several Important Issues

Dr. Salah Ahmed Farraj, head of the Department of Jurisprudence and Its Fundamentals at the College of Islamic Studies at the Islamic University of Minnesota, held a meeting with faculty members on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at 8:00 PM Mecca time.

The meeting addressed several important issues related to the department, most notably the midterm examination. Dr. Farraj urged faculty members to prepare the exam promptly, in accordance with the model sent by the Control Committee, and to submit it for his review before forwarding it to the committee. He also encouraged faculty to monitor student costs.

Additionally, the department head assessed the situations of faculty members supervising master's and doctoral theses and discussed with them a proposal to establish a Center for Preparing the Faqih, outlining the types of programs and activities it could undertake. Finally, Dr. Farraj addressed the topic of faculty research submissions to the college, explaining the reasons for the rejection of some proposals.
