Hawzen Farhan Earns Master's Degree in Jurisprudence
Researcher Hawzen Ali Farhan has earned a Master's degree in Jurisprudence following the public defense held by the Graduate Studies Dean at the Islamic University of Minnesota. Her thesis was titled "The Jurisprudential Differences in the Enjoyable Explanation of Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen from the Beginning of the Book of Hudud to the End: Collection and Study," and the defense took place on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 6 PM Mecca time.
The discussion committee consisted of Dr. Salah Faraj, Head of the Department of Jurisprudence and its Fundamentals at the Islamic University of Minnesota, as the chair; Dr. Su'ad Mohammed Baltaji, faculty member at the university, as the supervisor and rapporteur; Dr. Bassam Al-Rashid, faculty member at the university, as the internal discussant; and Dr. Murad Ouda, associate professor in the Department of Jurisprudence and Legislation at An-Najah National University in Palestine, as the external discussant.
This achievement marks an important milestone in the researcher’s academic journey and reflects the efforts dedicated to the field of Islamic jurisprudence.
