Researcher Saqr Sheikh Earns PhD in Jurisprudence and Its Principles

Researcher Saqr Sheikh Hassan Abdi Hussein has been awarded a PhD in the Department of Jurisprudence and Its Principles, following a public defense session organized by the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the main campus of the Islamic University of Minnesota. His thesis, titled "The Best Evidence on Some Issues Known as the Gift of the Needy to the Qibla of the Needy" by Sheikh Mohammed Omar Al-Sindi Al-Hanafi - A Study and Verification, was discussed on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 8 PM Mecca time.

The discussion committee comprised Dr. Salah Faraj, Head of the Department of Jurisprudence and Its Principles at the Islamic University of Minnesota, as Chair; Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Wardi, faculty member at the university, as Supervisor and Rapporteur; Dr. Ayman Al-Awdat, internal discussant; and Dr. Amal Mohammed Morsi Ghoneim, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Principles of Jurisprudence at the College of Islamic and Arabic Studies for Girls in Mansoura, as external discussant.
