Researcher Adel Al-Maawda Earns Doctorate

Researcher Adel Bin Abdulrahman Al-Maawda, a member of the Bahraini Shura Council, has earned his Doctorate from the Department of Islamic Jurisprudence at the College of Sharia and Law following the successful defense of his thesis titled "Intellectual Security in Light of Legal Objectives."

The public defense took place on Tuesday, 9 Jumada Al-Akhirah 1446 AH, corresponding to December 10, 2024, at 8 PM Mecca time, under the supervision of the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the main campus of the Islamic University of Minnesota.

The discussion committee comprised Dr. Walid Bin Idris Al-Munisi, President of the Islamic University of Minnesota, as Supervisor and Secretary; Dr. Abdulfattah Muhammad Khidr, Dean of the Quranic Studies College at Al-Azhar University, as External Discussant; and Dr. Saad Al-Din Al-Kabi, faculty member at the University of Jinan in Lebanon and Head of the Islamic University of Minnesota Office in Lebanon, as Internal Discussant.
