Scientific Lecture on Evaluating Scientific Research Held at the Islamic University of Minnesota
The Training and Development Center for Community Programs, in collaboration with the College of Sharia and Law at the Islamic University of Minnesota, organized a scientific lecture titled "Evaluating Scientific Research in Terms of Form and Objectivity." The lecture was delivered by Dr. Eid Nasrallah Saad Harira, Associate Professor at the College of Sharia and Law, on Wednesday, January 10, 2024.
According to Dr. Fatima Jumaa Al-Wahsh, the Executive Director of the Training and Development Center, who attended the lecture, the importance of the preliminary stages preceding actual research preparation was emphasized. These stages are equally significant to the research itself, as the success of the research may depend on them. The stages include determining the research title, which represents the first step and starting point in writing any research. Additionally, identifying the research problem was highlighted as the most critical step, as scientific research cannot be built without a problem that the researcher seeks to solve. The importance of the chosen topic, the objectives of the research, the boundaries of the research in terms of time and place, and the research methodology were also discussed.
The lecture lasted for two hours, and a recorded video of the lecture was uploaded to the center's platform on the official university website.
