College of Technology Team Presents Workshop on Google Tools
The Training and Development Center, in collaboration with the College of Information Technology, conducted a training workshop titled "Google Workspace Tools." The workshop was delivered by a team from the College of Information Technology, led by Dr. Salah Alawi Hussain Al-Sharafi, the Director of the College of Information Technology.
The workshop began with an introduction presented by Engineer Al-Mu'tasem Faez, the Executive Director of the Training and Development Center. Dr. Salah Al-Sharafi then provided a comprehensive explanation of a range of Google tools and their positive impact on daily life and work, such as email, translation, Google Drive, and forms. He elaborated on how to efficiently use these tools to improve communication and facilitate work tasks.
In the context of electronic communication, the focus was on the benefits of Gmail and how users can leverage its advanced features for effective organization and smart search. An overview was also provided on the translation tool and its role in facilitating international communication.
Google Drive, as a means of file storage and collaborative work, was an important part of the workshop. The participants were informed about how to manage and efficiently share files. Regarding office tools like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, the workshop provided in-depth familiarity with fully utilizing these tools to create and edit documents and presentations effectively.
In the same context, Ms. Marwa Qasem discussed the concept and importance of electronic archiving, shedding light on how participants can effectively retain and organize information.
Engineers Ali Mustafa and Khubaib Habib concluded the workshop with a practical demonstration of Google tools, providing additional insights to participants on how to maximize the benefits of these tools to improve work performance and facilitate daily operations. Overall, the workshop was a valuable opportunity for participants to acquire new skills and enhance their understanding of how to make the most of Google tools in modern work environments.
