Successful Lecture on Self-Management Draws Praise
The Training and Development Center for Community Programs at the Islamic University of Minnesota organized a lecture on "Self-Management" delivered by Dr. Mohammed Dhaifullah Al-Qarni, an Assistant Professor in the Family Counseling Department. The lecture covered various topics, including the definition of self, its significance in the Holy Quran, and its concept according to psychologists. It also discussed self-perception, self-esteem, and factors that affect self-esteem. Practical aspects of self-management, such as managing change and setting goals, were also covered.
Dr. Al-Qarni shared 15 practical skills and a self-management program consisting of 20 principles. The lecture aimed to empower individuals to improve their abilities in dealing with themselves and achieve personal and professional success.
