Training Center Holds Workshop on Developing Managerial Skills
The Training and Development Center for Community Programs organized a workshop titled "Developing Managerial Skills" on Saturday, January 13, 2024. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Mukhallad Saad Al-Mutairi, an assistant professor at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology.
During the two-hour workshop, Dr. Al-Mutairi discussed the importance of various managerial skills and how to develop them, as well as different leadership styles and the optimal approach to dealing with these styles. He also addressed successful leadership skills.
Dr. Fatima Al-Wahsh, the Executive Director of the center, summarized the workshop by explaining that developing managerial skills involves enhancing and improving the abilities and skills required in the field of management, such as planning, decision-making, effective communication, and problem-solving. She emphasized that developing managerial skills enhances individuals' capacity for planning and decision-making and includes improving communication, leadership, and time management skills. She further noted that developing managerial skills contributes to enhancing and improving an individual's management and leadership skills, and it can have positive effects on both the individual and theorganization by enhancing administrative competencies.
The workshop was broadcasted through the Zoom platform and the center's page on Facebook. A recording of the workshop will be uploaded to the center's platform on the official university website.
