Training Center Organizes Specialized Course on "Skills of Studying Tafsir"

As part of its efforts to disseminate Sharia knowledge and enhance academic qualification, the Training, Development, and Community Programs Center at the Islamic University of Minnesota - Main Center organized a specialized training course titled "Skills of Studying Tafsir (Qur'anic Exegesis)," under the management and supervision of the Center's Director, Eng. Al-Mu'tasem Faiz.

The course featured distinguished academic participation, presented by Professor Dr. Abdulfattah Khader, Professor of Tafsir and Qur'anic Sciences at Al-Azhar University and an international arbitrator. During his lectures, he addressed the foundations of academic engagement with Tafsir books, the methodologies of exegetes, and tools for understanding and analysis, aiming to develop a solid scholarly aptitude among students and researchers in the field of Qur'anic studies.

The course was held over four training lectures from January 24 to 31, 2026, in the evenings, via a video conferencing platform. It witnessed remarkable attendance from both inside and outside the university, in an atmosphere characterized by scientific interaction and fruitful dialogue between the lecturer and participants.

Eng. Al-Mu'tasem Faiz, Director of the Center, emphasized that this course falls within the Center's plan to offer distinctive programs that combine academic authenticity with modern training methods, contributing to enhancing participants' scientific and skill competencies, and strengthening the university's role in serving knowledge and society.

This course is part of a series of programs and courses organized by the Training, Development, and Community Programs Center in support of the Islamic University of Minnesota's mission to disseminate knowledge, build competencies, and serve the community locally and internationally.
