Islamic University Appoints Osama Awf as New Dean of Academic Affairs
Minnesota Islamic University has announced the appointment of Dr. Osama Abdulrahman Abu Zaid Awf as the new dean of academic affairs, succeeding Dr. Yousef Al-Hashimi. The appointment was announced by the Vice Rector of Islamic University of Minnesota, Dr. Omar Al-Maqrami.
Dr. Al-Maqrami wished Dr. Abu Zaid Awf success in his new role as dean of academic affairs and encouraged him to continue the constructive work initiated by Dr. Al-Hashimi and to further develop the deanship. He also called for cooperation and collective work under the auspices of this blessed academic institution.
Currently, Dr. Osama Abdulrahman Abu Zaid Awf holds the position of assistant professor of modern literature, criticism, and rhetoric at the College of Basic Education in Kuwait. He also works as an assistant professor of modern literature and literary criticism. Dr. Abu Zaid Awf has over 24 years of experience in the educational and academic fields in Kuwait and the United States. He has published numerous books and literary and critical studies.
The university administration wished Dr. Al-Hashimi success in his academic and professional life and awarded him a certificate of appreciation for his outstanding efforts in managing the deanship and its excellence. Several faculty and administrative members of the university expressed their congratulations to the new dean and bid farewell to the former dean with words filled with appreciation and respect.
