University administration Adopts New Organizational Decision to Appoint Control Officers in Colleges

The administration of the Islamic University of Minnesota – Main Center has approved a new organizational decision to appoint a control officer in each college, as part of its ongoing efforts to develop academic work mechanisms and strengthen the regulation of examination procedures and grade recording, ensuring accuracy and efficiency, safeguarding students’ rights, and supporting the university’s educational system.

This decision comes in recognition of the efforts made by faculty members during the past period and their effective cooperation in overseeing the educational process and successfully completing the examination period with efficiency and discipline. In an official message addressed to faculty members, the Vice Deputy of the University affirmed the administration’s commitment to enhancing institutional organization and providing the necessary support to ensure the optimal completion of academic tasks.

The Vice Deputy explained that appointing control officers in the colleges represents an important organizational step aimed at facilitating academic workflows and supporting faculty members in their various duties. She noted that control officers will be included in official communication channels through administrative affairs, which will enhance coordination and expedite follow-up.

The message clarified that the responsibilities of control officers include monitoring the conduct of examinations, supervising grading and score recording, addressing issues related to examinations and appeals, following up on graduation research and supplementary research grades and ensuring their final approval, as well as direct coordination with faculty members and students, and adherence to established timelines for grading, recording, and documentation.

The Vice Deputy emphasized that the control officer bears full responsibility for monitoring students’ grades and ensuring the highest levels of accuracy and discipline in all academic procedures, stressing the importance of continued cooperation and support from faculty members to ensure the success of this organizational step.

She concluded by affirming that this decision will contribute to enhancing the quality of the educational process and achieving greater organization and efficiency in academic performance, positively reflecting on students’ interests and strengthening the university’s standing and academic outcomes.
