Meeting of Curriculum Committee in Department of History

The Chair of the Department of History and Archaeology at the College of Arts and Humanities at the Islamic University of Minnesota held a meeting for the proposed curriculum committee members on Friday, 11 Dhul-Qi'dah 1446 AH, corresponding to May 9, 2025, to discuss the implementation mechanism of the university textbook project.

The meeting covered the organizational structure of the committee, the working methods of its members, and task distribution. The meeting resulted in specific recommendations, including sending the textbook templates to the curriculum committees in the scientific departments for review and suggestion of any necessary amendments, which will then be forwarded to the college administration for decision-making. The importance of utilizing inactive faculty members in the book review process was also emphasized.

To enhance efficiency, it was agreed to exclude members who have not completed their assigned tasks from the committee, with an official letter from the department chair. Additionally, the names of the curriculum committee members will be included in the collective book, and certain benefits will be granted to committee members as determined by the university administration.

The meeting concluded at 10:30 PM Mecca time, lasting for an hour and a quarter, in an atmosphere of love, peace, and enthusiasm to complete the book in the best possible way.
