Structural Changes in the College of Computing and Information Technology


 

The Islamic University of Minnesota has announced structural changes in the College of Computing and Information Technology at the university, following the inauguration of the new department of Computer Science, which has appointed Dr. Dhiya'a Al-Haq Issa Hamed as its head.

The changes included the appointment of Dr. Salah Alawi Hussain Al-Sharafi as the deputy dean of the College of Computing and Information Technology, in addition to his responsibility as the head of the Department of Networks and Cyber Security, while Dr. Mohammed Habib Al-Sumkari was appointed as the new head of the Department of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.

The university confirmed that the position of the dean remained under the stewardship of Dr. Muneer Abdulbari Abdulfattah, and the chairmanship of the College of Information Technology was retained by Dr. Saleh Masaad Al-Riyashi, while Mr. Hanadi Abdullah was appointed as the administrator in charge of the college's administrative affairs.

These changes come within the framework of developing and updating the college, especially after the inauguration of the new Computer Science department, which has witnessed an increasing influx of students, reflecting the importance of the College of Computing and Information Technology at the university.
