Head of the Department Holds Meeting with Faculty Members, Discusses Important Issues

Assoc. Prof. Marwan Zayed Batayneh, the head of the Department of Educational Sciences, convened a special meeting for faculty members on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 7:00 PM Mecca time.

The meeting covered the discussion of several agenda items, including the introduction of new faculty members, Dr. Faten and Dr. Hazem. The issue of faculty attendance and absence and the subsequent measures were also addressed. Additionally, the meeting discussed the topic of exams, question formulation, the importance of clear language, and the avoidance of ambiguous questions. A proposal was put forward to evaluate student participation, with 10 marks to be allocated by the lecturer, in addition to 10 marks for attendance and absence.

The meeting also discussed how to handle student costs and establish a specific standard for faculty members' grading. The promotion procedures for Dr. Mahmoud were addressed as well. Finally, a letter addressed to the esteemed Dean of the College was drafted.

The meeting was attended by a total of 11 members, including Assoc. Prof. Marwan Batayneh (Department Head), Dr. Nasser Mohammed, Dr. Mahmoud Saeed, Dr. Hazem Al-Anaqra, Dr. Faten Al-Mashaikh, Dr. Safaa Mashaqbeh, Dr. Atheer Husni, Dr. Fatima Abdullah, Dr. Manara Mohammed, Dr. Wafa'a Woraidat, and Dr. Duaa Qatanani. The meeting was conducted via the Zoom application.
