Al-Sharida Appointed as Head of Educational Technology Department

  

Dr. Omar Al-Maqrami, the Vice President and Head of the Main Center at the Islamic University of Minnesota, issued a decision appointing Dr. Intisar Saleh Al-Sharida to this position.

Dr. Intisar Al-Sharida holds a Ph.D. degree in Curriculum and Teaching Methods, specializing in Philosophy, with a distinction in 2019 from the University of Jordan. She also earned a Master's degree in General Curriculum from the University of Jordan in 2015, a Higher Diploma in Education from Mutah University in Jordan in 1999, and a Bachelor's degree in General Management, with a major in General Administration, from Yarmouk University in Jordan in 1990 (English language program).

Al-Sharida has a vast experience in education, having served as a principal in both secondary and elementary government schools for 22 years in various directorates of the Jordanian Ministry of Education, including Amman, Ma'an, and Karak. Since 2023, she has been serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Technology at the College of Education, University of Minnesota. Additionally, she has been a part-time lecturer in the Curriculum and Teaching Methods Department at the College of Education, teaching Classroom Management since 2022. She is a certified trainer in performance management and institutional excellence from the Institute of Public Administration in Jordan. She is also a certified trainer at Oxford Academy and a certified trainer at the University of Minnesota for curriculum redesign, performance management, and institutional excellence for the years 2023 and 2024. Furthermore, she holds a certified trainer certificate from the Ministry of Education in professional development for employees and data analysis for decision-making.
