Educational Sciences Announces the Organization of a Scientific Conference in Jordan
The regular meeting of the College of Educational Sciences Council at the Islamic University of Minnesota was held, chaired by Dean Dr. Abdullah Abdelnabi, on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 9 PM Mecca time.
The meeting discussed several important topics, with promotions being a key agenda item. Dr. Heba Abu Ayadah, Head of the Educational Administration Department, was appointed to lead the Internal Promotions Committee, with the unanimous approval of all members. The committee will consist of seven members, with the condition that the evaluators hold higher academic ranks than the candidates for promotion.
Additionally, a proposal was discussed to hold an in-person scientific conference for the College of Educational Sciences in Jordan, which was put forward by Dr. Heba Abu Ayadah. It was agreed to begin coordination for this event soon.
In another matter, Dr. Anas Nawafleh, Head of the Educational Psychology Department, presented a request to prepare a "circular" regarding how to address the phenomenon of shyness among some female students by faculty members. It was agreed to coordinate between Dr. Nawafleh and Dr. Marwan Zaid Bataineh, who has previously issued a circular on this topic.
Finally, Dean Abdelnabi assigned Dr. Mohammed Husni, Head of the Curriculum and Teaching Methods Department, to coordinate with the Training and Development Center to organize a mini-seminar or lecture as part of the college's contribution to the center's programs.
The meeting was attended by several faculty members, including Dr. Nabila Mas'oud, Head of the Early Childhood Department, Dr. Dua Qatnani, Vice President of Educational Sciences, and Dr. Nourhan Salama, Administrative Affairs Officer of the college.
