Promotion Committee of Educational Sciences Holds First Meeting

The first meeting of the Promotion Committee of the College of Educational Sciences at the Islamic University of Minnesota was held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, under the leadership of Dr. Hiba Abu Ayada, with the attendance of the college dean, Professor Abdullah Abdulnabi.

The dean opened the meeting by welcoming the committee members and praising the establishment of this committee. He clarified the university's vision, mission, and strategic directions, as well as introducing the Higher Promotion Committee and emphasizing the importance of this committee. He noted that the College of Educational Sciences is at the forefront of this initiative, which has been disseminated to all colleges due to its significance.

The discussion then moved to the second topic, which focused on clarifying the committee's objectives and the main reasons for establishing an internal committee, as well as assigning tasks among the members. This included identifying faculty members eligible for promotion and evaluating research by specialists within the college. In this context, the head of the Higher Promotion Committee made remarks praising the College of Educational Sciences for its leadership in this matter and commended the dean for his continuous efforts and support in developing the team's skills.

In the third segment, the necessity of initiating the nomination process for deserving candidates for promotion to the Higher Committee was discussed, before Dr. Mamdouh Al-Anzi concluded the meeting by announcing a donation of one thousand dollars to support the committee and the candidates for promotion.

The meeting was attended by key academic and administrative figures, including the central promotion committee chair, Professor Mazahim Al-Mustafa, Dr. Sniya Salama Al-Sheikh, Dr. Nourhan Salama, and members of the promotion committee from various departments within the college.
