Council of College of Educational Sciences Holds Meeting

The Council of the College of Educational Sciences at the Islamic University of Minnesota held its regular meeting chaired by Professor Abdullah Abdulnabi, Dean of the College and Chair of the Council, on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at 9 PM Mecca time.

The Dean began the meeting by discussing the progress of the college, noting his follow-up on departmental groups via WhatsApp and emphasizing the importance of department heads being close to faculty members. He expressed his gratitude for the college's advancement in several areas.

The Dean opened the floor for contributions from faculty members, where Dr. Anas Nawafleh, Chair of the Department of Educational Psychology, Dr. Hiba Abu Ayyad, Chair of the Department of Educational Administration, Dr. Mohammed Husni, Chair of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, Dr. Dua Qatani, Vice Chair of the Department of Education Sciences, and Dr. Khitam Talabeh, a faculty member in the Early Childhood Department, who spoke on behalf of the Chair, Dr. Nabila Mas'oud, expressed their appreciation to the Dean for his efforts in overseeing the college. They also thanked Dr. Nourhan Salama, the Administrative Affairs Officer, for her diligent follow-up. Each speaker updated the Dean on the progress in their respective departments and the efforts being made to prepare for final exams, including the preparation of the exam schedule.

The meeting also addressed the work of the Promotions Committee, which includes a member from each department to follow up on promotion requests from faculty members. The Dean expressed his satisfaction with the efforts being made in this area, hoping that these efforts would contribute to the university's accreditation. He also proposed establishing an internal unit for quality and development specific to the college and announced his willingness to join it due to his experience in this field.
