Launch of Procedures for First Issue of "Journal of Educational Sciences"

Professor Abdullah Abdulnabi, Dean of the College of Educational Sciences at the Islamic University of Minnesota, confirmed that the procedures for issuing the first issue of the "Journal of Educational Sciences" are progressing well. He indicated that the peer review of three research papers has been completed and their acceptance has been confirmed, while awaiting the review of other papers.
This was announced during a meeting of the college council, chaired by the dean on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at 9 PM Mecca time. The meeting was attended by the journal’s secretary, Dr. Anas Odheibat. The dean announced his intention to prepare a list of the advisory committee members and the editorial board, praising the contributions of several council members with their research for publication in the journal.
During the meeting, the dean welcomed all attendees and congratulated Dr. Nourhan Salama on her appointment to the position of Dean of Faculty Affairs. He also discussed the progress of the college's operations in collaboration with department heads, emphasizing the importance of flexible handling of student needs and facilitating their academic requirements.
In addition to the journal topic, the council discussed the promotions of some faculty members in the presence of the head of the promotions committee, Dr. Heba Taufiq Abu Ayada, where the dean confirmed his personal follow-up on these promotions with the esteemed Vice President of the university, Dr. Omar Al-Maqrami.
For her part, Dr. Dua Qatnani, Head of the Department of Educational Sciences, spoke about the positive developments in the department and announced her submission of several research papers for the journal. Dr. Khitam Al-Tawalbeh, Deputy Head of the Early Childhood Department, also indicated that she had submitted a paper for the journal. Dr. Heba Abu Ayada, Head of the Department of Educational Administration, expressed her gratitude for the efforts made and confirmed that she is also the Deputy Editor of the journal.
At the end of the meeting, the dean informed council members of his intention to conduct a survey to gather their opinions on suitable times for future meetings to ensure all members can attend.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Dua Qatnani, Dr. Heba Abu Ayada, Dr. Khitam Al-Tawalbeh, and Dr. Nourhan Salama in her capacity as the Administrative Affairs Officer of the College of Educational Sciences.
