Department of Early Childhood Affirms Commitment to Quality Standards

The Department of Early Childhood at the Islamic University of Minnesota has affirmed the commitment of its faculty members to the priorities set by the university administration to ensure the educational process runs efficiently and with high quality. This was stated during the first meeting for the new academic year 2025/2026, held on Thursday, July 5, 2025, chaired by Dr. Nabeela Masoud, the department head, and attended by Dr. Noorhan Salama, Dean of Faculty Affairs, along with a group of faculty members in the department.

Dr. Nabeela Masoud opened the meeting with a welcoming speech, expressing her appreciation for the colleagues' efforts and emphasizing the importance of teamwork to meet the university's aspirations in the upcoming phase. During the meeting, several educational and organizational topics were reviewed, including the necessity of having a presentation for each lecture to enhance the delivery of concepts, accurately monitoring student assignments and recording them on the online portal regularly, sending lecture summaries to students through course groups, and maintaining ongoing communication with students to track their academic progress and provide regular feedback.

Additionally, several academic and administrative observations from some faculty members were discussed, concerning performance development and improving follow-up and evaluation mechanisms within the department.

This meeting comes as part of the department's commitment to elevating academic performance and adhering to quality and educational excellence standards, aiming to create a supportive and motivating learning environment for both students and faculty members.

Attendees included Dr. Sari Al-Muhadeen, Dr. Lina Barakat, Dr. Issam Abayneh, Dr. Azeeza Abdulnabi, Dr. Rumaisa Osama, Dr. Rawan Al-Mufleh, and Dr. Thuqan Obaidat.
