Professor Al-Wahati Chairs Media College Council Meeting

Professor Abdulsalam Al-Wahati, Dean of the Media College at the Islamic University of Minnesota, chaired a meeting of the college's small council on Saturday, April 19, 2025, to discuss several important topics related to the educational process during the summer semester.

At the beginning of the meeting, Professor Al-Wahati praised the university's role in spreading beneficial knowledge in various countries around the world, reaffirming the college's commitment to providing high-quality education.

The meeting reviewed reports on the educational process, with Dr. Hanan Sobhi Obaid, the academic vice dean and head of the graduate studies department, and Dr. Badeea Abdulqader, the administrative vice dean and head of the undergraduate department, presenting detailed reports on departmental performance and the challenges they face.

Professor Al-Wahati emphasized the importance of department heads following up on assignments and submitting them via the electronic platform on time, stressing the need to adhere to the university's administrative and financial regulations.

The dean also reviewed the performance evaluations of faculty members over the past period, expressing gratitude and appreciation to department heads, their deputies, and all volunteer faculty members who have demonstrated commitment and teamwork.

Professor Al-Wahati noted that interviews will soon be conducted with several candidates for faculty positions at the college, emphasizing that the selection of staff will be based on their specialties, experiences, competencies, and academic backgrounds to enhance academic performance.

In conclusion, the dean stressed the necessity for everyone to adhere to the university's administrative and financial regulations and the importance of students documenting and certifying their qualifications from official authorities in their countries before enrolling in the college.
