Launching New Academic Program Exploring Scientific Miracles in Qur’an
The Da’wah Center at the Islamic University of Minnesota (Main Center) has launched a new academic initiative that represents a valuable addition to the university’s scholarly programs, under the title “In the Realm of the Scientific Miracles of the Qur’an.” The program aims to highlight the remarkable alignment between the Qur’anic text and modern scientific discoveries, with the participation of a distinguished group of academics and specialists.
The first session of the program commenced on Saturday, November 22, 2025, with an inaugural lecture presented by Dr. Suhaib Al-Samarrai, a board member of the World Association of Scholars of Scientific Miracles in the Qur’an and Sunnah – USA. The lecture, titled “Fundamentals of Biology in the Qur’an: A Comparative Study with Modern Scientific Curriculum,” explored Qur’anic references to biological concepts and their convergence with contemporary scientific frameworks, offering a deeper understanding of universal realities through the lens of the Qur’anic text. The session was moderated by Dr. Mohammed Al-Shuqayri, Vice President of the Da’wah Center.
Dr. Manal Mustafa, Director of the Da’wah Center, stated that the program will span a full month, with weekly sessions held every Saturday via the Zoom platform from the launch date until December 13, 2025. This enables wide participation and benefits for students, researchers, and interested audiences from around the world.
The Da’wah Center emphasized that this program presents a valuable opportunity for those interested in studies that bridge the authenticity of religious texts with the depth of modern science. The Center encouraged university members and the academic community to follow the series and benefit from its rich scientific and intellectual content.
