Dawah Center Continues Scientific Miracles Series
The Da‘wah Center at the Islamic University of Minnesota - Main Center, headed by its Director, Dr. Manal Mustafa, organized a new scientific meeting as part of its specialized knowledge series entitled “In the Realm of the Scientific Miracles of the Holy Qur’an,” within its ongoing academic programs following the conclusion of the examination period.
The meeting was held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, as the penultimate lecture in the series, with the participation of a distinguished group of professors and researchers specializing in the field of scientific miracles. This initiative comes within the Center’s efforts to enhance scientific and Sharia-based awareness of the various aspects of miraculousness in the Holy Qur’an.
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Ibrahim Trabieh, a researcher in scientific miracles and former Head of the Department of Scientific Miracles at the College of Islamic Sciences, Bashan International University in the United States of America. He has also chaired several departments of scientific miracles at academic institutions in Somalia and the Horn of Africa, as well as at the Afro-Asian University, contributing to the graduation of undergraduate and master’s students.
The lecture was entitled “Volcanoes,” in which the phenomenon was examined from a scientific perspective and linked to Qur’anic references, highlighting the harmony between modern cosmic facts and the indications of the Qur’anic text.
The session was moderated by Dr. Mohammed Al-Shaqeeri, Vice President of the Da‘wah Center, and was held at 9:00 p.m. Makkah time via the Zoom video conferencing platform.
This event forms part of the Da‘wah Center’s programs aimed at offering high-quality lectures that combine the authenticity of Islamic texts with the depth of modern sciences, thereby reinforcing a scientific approach to understanding and presenting the Qur’anic scientific miracles in a contemporary manner.
