Preparatory Meeting for College of Development Studies
The Dean of the College of Development Studies at the Islamic University of Minnesota, Dr. Eider Ghaniyat, and the college's Vice Dean, Dr. Abdullah Al-Wazzan, met with members of the college council and faculty on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, as part of the college's preparations for the second semester of the 2024-2025 academic year.
The meeting began with welcoming remarks from the Dean and Vice Dean, followed by a discussion of the agenda items, which included the college's courses and their descriptions, distribution among departments and faculty members, as well as topics related to promotions and the establishment of a new department within the college.
The meeting featured fruitful exchanges of ideas on the discussed issues, leading to specific agreements on each topic. The Dean emphasized the importance of attracting as many students as possible and noted that the university administration has allocated rewards for some departments at the end of each semester.
Also attending the meeting were the Head of the Department of Disasters and Crisis Management, Dr. Ilham Al-Bashir, the Deputy Head of the same department, Dr. Musab Al-Hashimi, along with faculty members Dr. Youssef Bani Younis, Dr. Mohammed Shaddad, Dr. Riham Nasir, and the college's Administrative Affairs Officer, Ms. Khadija Radman.
