Extraordinary Meeting at the College of Development Studies

The College of Development Studies at the Islamic University of Minnesota held an extraordinary meeting chaired by the Dean of the college, Professor Eider Ghaniyat, in the presence of the college's Vice Dean, Professor Abdullah Al-Wazzan, department heads and their deputies, along with several faculty members, on Monday, November 25, 2024, at 8 PM Mecca time.

The meeting was dedicated to discussing urgent issues affecting the educational process within the college. Various problems were presented and thoroughly discussed, leading to an agreement on suitable solutions that the Dean directed to be adopted. The Dean also emphasized the importance of collaborating with other colleges outside the university to enhance the college's status and attract more students.

Vice Dean Professor Abdullah Al-Wazzan welcomed the attendees, praising the solutions proposed by the Dean and stressing the necessity of collaboration among all to elevate the college and achieve excellence.

In her remarks, Dr. Eman Al-Jundi expressed her willingness to volunteer her time to work with the Dean on implementing one of the proposed solutions. Dr. Riya Fayyad, Vice President of the Development Studies Department, also thanked the Dean for his significant efforts in addressing the emerging issues despite his busy schedule with conferences and other commitments.

Attendees at the meeting included Dr. Youssef Bani Younes, Head of the Development Studies Department, Dr. Riya Fayyad, Vice President of the Development Studies Department, Dr. Musab Al-Hashimi, Vice President of the Disaster and Crisis Management Department, as well as Dr. Riham Nasser, Dr. Eman Al-Jundi, and Administrative Affairs Officer Ms. Khadija Radman.
