College of Economics Holds Second Meeting

Islamic University of Minnesota – November 14, 2024   

The College of Economics and Business held its second meeting chaired by Dean Dr. Sherin Mamoun, with the attendance of the college council and faculty members. The meeting focused on the college's preparations for the second semester of the 2024-2025 academic year.

The meeting began with a welcoming speech from the dean, who welcomed the Deputy Vice President of the university, Dr. Zainab Ali, and thanked her for attending. The dean also read an apology letter from the Dean of Faculty Affairs, Dr. Marwan Batayneh, who was unable to attend.

The meeting addressed several topics, including the college's vision, goals, and the roles of faculty members. The dean also discussed the duties of department heads and the responsibilities of the promotions committee.

Several department heads spoke during the meeting, confirming their departments' readiness for the upcoming semester. At the conclusion of the meeting, the dean opened the floor for questions before adjourning the session, expressing her gratitude to all attendees.
