College of Economics Holds its Fourth Meeting

The College of Economics and Business Administration at the Islamic University of Minnesota – Main Center held its fourth meeting for the second semester of the academic year 2024-2025 / 1446 AH, under the chairmanship of Her Excellency Dr. Sherin Mamoun, on Thursday, December 26, 2024, from 9:00 pm to 9:40 pm Makkah time.  

The meeting witnessed the presence of department heads, their deputies and faculty members, where a number of items on the agenda were discussed, most notably preparations for midterm exams, directives for organizing tests, and the importance of doctors attending during test times to answer students' inquiries, in addition to emphasizing the need to monitor grades immediately and accurately.  

Dr. Sherin Mamoun also invited faculty members to contribute to the second issue of the college's refereed journal, and opened the way for department heads, their deputies and administrative affairs officials to present their interventions and discuss topics related to academic work.  

The Vice Dean and Head of the Department of Economics and Islamic Banks, Dr. Hiam Al-Zuabi, the Vice President of the Accounting Department, Dr. Mohammed Qureshi, the Vice President of the Department of Economics and Islamic Banks, Dr. Zayed Nawaf Al-Duwairi, the Deputy Head of the Department of Management, Dr. Manal Mohammed Mahmoud Adam, the Administrative Affairs Officer, Ms. Banan Saif, and the Secretary of the College, Ms. Dhuha Al-Mulqi, spoke during the meeting, where they addressed many issues of interest to the different departments.  

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Sherin Mamoun thanked the faculty members for their efforts, and allowed the opportunity to submit inquiries and suggestions, before announcing the adjournment of the session, expressing her appreciation for everyone's attendance and active participation.
