College of Economics and Business Organizes Coordination

As part of its early preparations for the first semester of the academic year 1447 AH / 2025 AD, the College of Economics and Business organized a series of coordination meetings chaired by Dean Dr. Shireen Mamoun. These meetings targeted the College Council, faculty members, and students, aiming to enhance academic and administrative readiness and to ensure the efficient and high-quality launch of the study.
College Council Meeting
The College Council meeting was held on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 8:00 to 9:00 PM (Mecca time). The dean opened the meeting with a welcoming speech, expressing her gratitude to the council members for their efforts throughout the year and highlighting the importance of teamwork for a successful start to the semester.
The meeting focused on several topics, including academic preparation for the new semester, where the importance of prior planning and reviewing study plans was confirmed. Discussions included the organization of class schedules, the roles of faculty members, the follow-up of scientific committees, the importance of academic advising, and the activation of student activities, as well as the organization of developmental courses for faculty members.
Extended Meeting with Faculty Members
An extended meeting was held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 8:00 to 9:30 PM (Mecca time), attended by a wide range of faculty members and the College Council. The dean opened the meeting with a speech expressing pride in the academic staff, commending their efforts and welcoming new members.
The meeting centered on the college's vision, mission, and goals, as well as an overview of the administrative and academic structure. Discussions included organizing lectures, the process for preparing academic tasks, encouraging the use of presentations, and discussing the availability of university textbooks and the college magazine.
The meeting featured constructive input from department heads, who presented their plans and preparations, and an open dialogue was established to exchange experiences and ideas for enhancing academic standards.
Interactive Meeting with Students
An interactive meeting took place on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 8:00 to 9:30 PM (Mecca time), attended by students from various levels. The dean expressed her happiness at the gathering, especially with the inclusion of new students, affirming the college's commitment to providing a supportive educational environment.
The meeting covered topics such as an overview of the college, attendance policies, academic tasks, and grading criteria. Department heads delivered encouraging remarks urging students to strive for excellence, and students were given the opportunity to ask questions, which the dean and her team answered warmly.
At the conclusion of the three meetings, the dean emphasized that these meetings reflect the College of Economics and Business's commitment to teamwork and the integration of all components of the academic institution, contributing to a fruitful and successful semester. She added that the administration will remain open to all constructive opinions and initiatives that serve the college's goals.
