Faculty of Economics Holds Semester Meeting
MINNESOTA, USA - November 25, 2025 - The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at The Islamic University of Minnesota (Main Center) held its comprehensive periodic meeting with its students on the evening of Friday, November 7, 2025, marking the start of the second semester of the academic year 1447 AH (2025-2026).
The meeting was chaired by the Dean of the Faculty, Assistant Professor Dr. Shireen Mamoun, who began her address by welcoming the students and praising their commitment and trust in the faculty. She extended a special welcome to new students, emphasizing that the faculty's top priority is to provide an integrated academic environment that combines scholarly excellence with the development of practical skills.
During the meeting, Dr. Shireen Mamoun outlined the academic plan for the new semester, highlighting the faculty's vision, mission, and strategic goals. Students were also introduced to the administrative and academic structure and reminded of the essential regulations that ensure the quality of the educational process, including attendance policies, course requirements, and academic performance evaluation mechanisms.
Heads of departments and their deputies also participated, delivering motivational remarks to the students, urging them to be diligent and disciplined, and stressing their pivotal role as partners in achieving outstanding educational outcomes.
An open-floor session allowed students to ask questions and share their observations. The Dean and faculty members answered all inquiries with full transparency, fostering a spirit of positive communication between the faculty administration and its students.
