Faculty of Economics Announces Successful Completion of Final Examinations
The Deanship of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at the Islamic University of Minnesota - Main Center - announced the successful completion of the final examinations for the second semester of the academic year 2025/2026 (1447 AH) across all departments of the faculty. The Deanship confirmed that the examinations were conducted smoothly and in an orderly manner, in accordance with academic and organizational standards that ensured a stable and fair testing environment for students.
The Deanship explained that this success was the result of early preparations and organizational measures approved during an expanded meeting chaired by the Dean of the Faculty, Associate Professor Dr. Shireen Mamoun, on the evening of Monday, January 26, 2026. The meeting was attended by members of the Faculty Council and faculty staff, as part of the early preparations for the final examinations.
In her opening remarks, the Dean expressed her appreciation for the efforts exerted by faculty members in supporting the educational process, praising the spirit of cooperation and responsibility that was later reflected in the success of the examinations. She then reviewed the meeting agenda, which included regulatory aspects related to overseeing and organizing the examination process.
The meeting emphasized the importance of the course instructor’s presence in the course group during the examination period to ensure prompt responses to students’ inquiries and to address any urgent issues, thereby enhancing discipline and reassurance throughout the examination period. The grading mechanism was also clarified: objective questions were graded electronically through the academic portal, while essay questions were evaluated by the course instructor through the same system, ensuring accuracy and fairness in assessment.
The meeting also addressed the examination schedule, which was held from February 2 to February 14, 2026, with each exam lasting three hours from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., according to a unified schedule observed by all departments.
Following the presentation of these arrangements, the floor was opened for discussion with department heads and their deputies, who affirmed their full readiness to implement the approved procedures. Faculty members’ comments and suggestions were also discussed to prevent any potential challenges during the examination period.
The meeting concluded with expressions of appreciation and thanks to faculty members and department heads for their cooperation and dedication, which directly contributed to the successful completion of the examination process and the achievement of its academic and organizational objectives.
