Meeting of the Deanship of Faculty Affairs and Administrative Affairs Unit

On Saturday, August 3rd, at 10 PM Mecca time, Dean of Faculty Affairs, Dr. Mrouan Zaid Bataineh, held a joint meeting with the Administrative Affairs Unit of the colleges, attended by the Unit Director, Dr. Nourhan Salameh. 

Dr. Bataineh opened the meeting by expressing gratitude to the administrative team for their significant and continuous efforts, emphasizing the importance of daily follow-up on faculty members' files according to an independent plan for each college. He urged them to maintain continuous communication with the Deanship of Faculty Affairs regarding any decisions that require renewal or any missing documents in the members' files.

He highlighted the crucial role played by the administrative management in the colleges, affirming that the director is the primary responsible party and has substantial authority to resolve any issues that may arise.

The meeting also addressed the necessity of issuing an official letter from any dean or department head when requesting any matter from the Deanship of Faculty Affairs, emphasizing the importance of organizing faculty members' files, particularly concerning secondments and the placement of files in their respective colleges or main departments.

For her part, Dr. Nourhan Salameh praised Dr. Bataineh's efforts and his fruitful collaboration with the unit team. She requested the organization of a recognition ceremony for the team members at the end of the semester and suggested granting them certificates of appreciation for their efforts. The dean expressed his agreement to this request, stressing the need for the team to complete all required tasks before the event.

The discussion also covered procedures for dealing with inactive or resigned faculty members, clarifying the necessary steps, required letters, and involved parties.

In conclusion, Dr. Nourhan urged her team members to archive all documents and activities related to each department in a specific file and emphasized the importance of recording notes in the database for each faculty member.

The meeting was attended by various administrative heads from different colleges, reflecting the university's commitment to enhancing collaboration and teamwork to provide the best services to faculty members and improve the academic work environment.
