Faculty Affairs Office Announces New Achievements and Faculty Additions
The Faculty Affairs Office at the Islamic University of Minnesota has announced academic achievements for several professors, recognizing their contributions to the university. Among them is Dr. Mohammed Shuaib Abdulmaqsood, the former Head of the Law Department, who published a book titled "Legal Drafting." Dr. Mohammed Said Othman, a faculty member in the Department of History and Archaeology, also published a book titled "The Jurists of the Successors in Mecca and Kufa." Additionally, Dr. Mohammed Ali Dawahda, Deputy Head of the Educational Psychology Department, released two books: "Modern Teaching Strategies in the 21st Century" and "Self-Management Engineering." Dr. Emad Al-Din Hussein Bahr Al-Din, a faculty member in the Political Science Department, published a book titled "Sudanese-European Relations: Approaches to Partnership and Cooperation."
In a related matter, the office announced the addition of several new professors to its faculty. Among them is Dr. Ihab Said from Egypt, who joined the Law Department in the College of Sharia and Law, and Professor Abdullah Al-Wazzan, who returned to the university as the Deputy Dean of the Development Studies College after previously serving as Dean of the College of Arts. Dr. Youssef Bani Younis from Jordan joined the Development Studies Department, while Dr. Abdulmajed Al-Jaafari from Jordan joined the Accounting Department in the College of Business and Economics.
Furthermore, Dr. Abdullah Abdulmon'am from Kuwait joined the Department of Islamic Economics and Banking, and Dr. Zakaria Ibrahim from Egypt joined the Department of Islamic Studies in English. Dr. Asma Al-Wakeel from Egypt also joined the Political Science Department, along with Dr. Taysir Abu Jumaa, a Palestinian-Egyptian, who joined the same department.
Additionally, the Dean of Student Affairs noted that Dr. Abdulsalam Awad Al-Sayed, an associate professor from Sudan, returned to the university after a hiatus due to circumstances in his country, and he has joined the Accounting Department.
Finally, the Islamic University of Minnesota congratulates Ms. Maha Mohammed on her appointment as the secretary to the Dean of Faculty Affairs, Dr. Marwan Bataineh, as announced by the media center on August 7, 2024.
